About

I love a cuppa (Lyon’s Green label is king) and I think a chat over a cup of tea can help solve almost anything.

Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, I’m now happily settled in rural Tipperary with my husband, kids, cats, chickens and dogs. When I’m not studying for my postgrad in Technical Writing (or feeding the aforementioned children and animals), I enjoy freelance writing and working on my blog.

In Autumn 2011, I received a B.A. in the Humanities and English language from the Open University. I thoroughly enjoyed the coursework and linguistic analyses, however, I realised I needed to take this further when I became slightly obsessed with editing my coursework.

The amazing news of becoming pregnant with twins in 2009, meant my writing plans were put on hold until the kids began pre-school. Then, I took my chance to pursue a freelance writing career and thankfully my efforts are paying off. For nearly 2 years I have been writing for an amazing Irish magazine – Mums and Tots. I love writing magazine/feature articles and online content. I relish a variety of writing challenges and the research that entails, and I also ghost write a blog for an Irish business as well as Put the Kettle on.

I’m always on the lookout for my next project, so if you’re interested in hiring me as a freelance writer, please check out my portfolio, my linked in profile, and get in touch.

In spring, I’ll be finished my postgrad in Technical Writing from the University of Limerick and will be seeking a permanent technical writing position.
