Well knock me down with a feather boa! Look what my little pal Patricia over at ‘Colorines Wonderful’ has designed for lucky, old me. That’s me with the kids and the animals too. I love it! It’s hilarious. I’ve never had anything personalised before. Patricia is a creative genius – look at the way she included all the chickens. All I had to do was tell her a little about myself and she set to work and designed this lovely mug.
I’ve been following Patricia’s blog for a while now and was so impressed with her work, that I ordered a mug for my husband Stuart for Father’s day. He recently sat some veterinary exams and the kids are calling him supervet (which he is of course). Patricia incorporated this into the design and drew him with a little cape and the customary ‘S’ upon his chest. We all got a laugh on Sunday when we gave it to him. A much better gift than a tie or socks I think.
Patricia’s blog began with hilarious and creative doodles and through her drawings she expresses what the rest of us parenting bloggers can only attempt with words. One day she had an epiphany and decided to transfer her pictures to ceramic ware. Now, Patricia produces mugs and teapots for all occasions. They make beautiful and unique personalised gifts for family and friends which you can’t find anywhere else.
Patricia has recently opened an online etsy shop which is going from strength to strength, and now has her own facebook page. If you are interested in Patricia’s work, pop over to the ‘groovy world of colorines wonderful‘. She would be delighted to design a piece for you. I’ve perused the shop and have yet to see two pieces the same.
Go have a look for yourself!

Lucky you indeed — those mugs are wonderful! I love the chickens (and Super Chicken, to boot!) Isn’t the blogging community an amazing place?
Yes! It’s so inspiring and encouraging to see someone create a sustainable business from their blog. To watch an idea grow into something much bigger is amazing. :o)
Oh, what adorable mugs!! And yes, I wish I would have heard of her before Father’s day! Maybe I can try for his birthday. I am going to go check her out now, thanks!! 🙂
I have ordered another mug but can’t say who yet as that may spoil their surprise! They do make a great gift. 😀
They are sooooo cute. Mugs are a hit no matter where you go. I will take a look at her site. Thanks for sharing you lucky girl. Hugs!!!
Aren’t they great? Doodling and coming up with cartoons is not easy. I tried a few times when I was starting my blog and I just couldn’t get it right. Hope you’re all well. :0)
My daughter had her 2nd chemo today. In the first minutes, she began with headache, dizziness and pain in the chest. It turned out she was having an allergic reaction. Yah. Not a fun day for her. I made a nice supper and she was so happy. They left for the hospital at 9:30 and they got back at about 5:00. Now we wait for the side effects. Her hair is pretty well all gone. But she still is beautiful.
Yes, some people are so gifted with drawings and paintings. I’m good at reading. 🙂
The poor girl. I’m sure just having you there will make her that much stronger. What a long day for her. I hadn’t heard of anyone having an allergic reaction to chemo before. Do you have an idea of how many sessions she’ll need?
Sorry for delay in responding again. My laptop was playing up and I can’t type properly on my silly phone. xx
Two more treatments, three weeks apart. I’ll be so glad when it’s over. Hugs and thanks for caring. 🙂
Great!
Those are super cute! Love them! And supervet, lol that’s awesome! My daughter can sketch very well at 6 years ols, but all I can draw is stick figures 😦 guess I will have to stick with writing
I went to art college and my doodles aren’t nearly as good as these! Don’t feel bad. We’ll stick to what we know! :o)
So cute! What a great idea, for her, and as a gift for you! Love the mugs 🙂
I’ve ordered another mug (but can’t say who it’s for yet or that may spoil the surprise). The blog is very funny too. ;0)
What a great idea, I can think of lots of people who would like one! Thanks for following my blog.
Thanks Joan. I use my mug every morning for coffee. I’m not a morning person and the smiling faces cheer me up! :0)
What a treasure! I tend to accumulate special mugs for one reason or another and this one would be set apart as the most outstanding.
Aren’t they gorgeous?! I use mine every morning for coffee 🙂
